Frequently Asked questions

What are your boundary stipulations?

Crush Kickball has no boundary restrictions—players are welcome from anywhere! Our primary focus is the East Valley (San Tan Valley, Queen Creek, Gilbert, Florence), with plans to expand across the Valley and eventually statewide.

Can I volunteer or assist in coaching?

Absolutely! We welcome volunteers as head and assistant coaches, team parents, field crew, scorekeepers, and umpires. All volunteers must pass a background check and complete coaching clinics. Visit the Volunteer page on our website to learn more and get involved.

Is CRUSH a club organization?

Crush Kickball is a recreational league for youth (ages 4–18) and adults. While the focus is on fun and development, we are exploring options for more competitive inter-league play as we grow.

What if I register but later change my mind?

We understand things come up. You may request a refund, minus any administrative fees, prior to the season’s start.

Do you offer scholarships?

Yes! We believe a child’s ability to play should never depend on their ability to pay. Therefore, a limited number of youth scholarships are available for qualifying families. E-mail Tracy@CrushKickball.com for an application.

What do players need to bring?

Whether you are an adult player or youth, there is no required equipment. However, many purchase non-metal cleats. Each coach will determine what other uniform needs there may be (pants/shorts/socks).

What division should I choose for my child?

Choose the division based on your child’s age as of January 1, 2025. Exceptions can be made with administrative approval. Crush currently offers five divisions for ages 4–18.

How many seasons are offered per year?

 Currently there are four seasons:

Winter (Jan-March)

Spring (April-June)

Summer (June, in Gilbert)

Fall (September-November)

How many games are played each season?

Youth teams play approximately 8 games (1 per week), with a possible postseason tournament in some divisions. Depending on the number of teams in each division, some teams may have double-headers or a bye week. Adult teams play 1-2 games weekly.

When are games played?

Youth games: Saturday mornings

Adult games: various evenings (7p-10p)

When and where are practices held?

Teams are formed based on proximity to your home or school. Coaches determine the day, time, and location of practices.

How are teams formed?

Teams are organized by age, location, and ability. Adults must register individually and may request a specific team, coach, or register as a free agent.

 Where are fields located?

Games are played at various locations across the Southeast Valley. Travel to nearby cities may be needed depending on registration numbers.

How are rainouts handled?

Rainout notices are sent via league-wide text and relayed by coaches. We’ll do our best to reschedule missed games when possible.

 Is there an end-of-season tournament?

Yes, depending on the number of teams per division, CRUSH plans to hold postseason tournaments.

Are there any discounts?

Yes! Head coaches receive free registration for one child. We also offer a $5 sibling discount. Currently, there are no adult league discounts.

Do you accept ESA/Class Wallet?

Yes! Crush is an approved ESA vendor. You can pay through Class Wallet or submit a receipt for reimbursement. Contact Tracy@CrushKickball.com for ESA help.

Can I request a specific coach/friend?

Yes! There’s a section during registration to make requests. While not guaranteed, we do our best to honor them.

My child and I have never played kickball. Is your league a good fit for a beginner?

Definitely. Crush is perfect for beginners of all ages. Our focus is on skill-building, confidence, sportsmanship, and fun in a positive, inclusive environment.

What is the Crush All Star Program?

In older youth divisions with three or more teams, players who demonstrate skill, leadership, and sportsmanship may be nominated for the All-Star team. Selected players compete in a tournament against players from other regions.

What do registration fees cover?

Fees include team equipment, insurance, field rental, and uniforms.
