The success of Crush Kickball relies heavily on dedicated volunteers. Head coaches, assistant coaches, and team parents play a vital role in creating a positive and encouraging environment where players learn sportsmanship, fundamental skills, teamwork, and respect—both on and off the field. To prioritize player safety, all individuals working directly with children must pass a criminal background check.

Head Coaches are assigned to a specific age group and are responsible for teaching the fundamental skills of kickball, the rules of the game, and the importance of good sportsmanship. They bring creative, engaging practice ideas to the field and coach with enthusiasm and patience, always considering each child’s unique abilities. In addition to fostering an environment of teamwork, respect, and fun, Head Coaches also mentor assistant coaches, team parents, and volunteers—prioritizing the well-being and experience of the team over the desire to win.

 Assistant Coaches are the backbone of every successful Crush team, serving as a key extension of the Head Coach. In addition to supporting practice planning and game-day coaching, they help guide players through skill development, reinforce positive sportsmanship, and contribute to a fun and focused team environment. Assistant Coaches also assist with team organization and handle behind-the-scenes responsibilities that keep the team running smoothly and successfully.

 Team Parents provide essential administrative support while helping to maintain the positive team culture set by the coach. With strong organizational skills, they manage and update the team roster, distribute uniforms, coordinate snack schedules, and plan additional team activities. They also serve as a key liaison between the coaching staff and parents, ensuring clear communication and a smooth, enjoyable season for all.
